Pamela R. Cysner
Pamela Cysner is an Advisor at UCLA’s Center for Student Programming Office and whose realm of responsibilities includes program and leadership development, organizational management and staff/volunteer training for approximately 200 campus organizations. As part of her responsibilities she also serves as the Coordinator of a Leadership Development workshop series for UCLA’s student leadership. She is an alumnus of UCLA. She is also a partner in the firm Diverse City Consulting which provides training, facilitation and consultation services in a number of areas including conflict resolution/mediation, cross cultural communication, leadership development, anger management and team building. Pamela has been involved with a wide variety of community-based programs and projects including:
§ Training Coordinator, Alternatives to Violence Project, Inglewood and Hollywood, CA
A program geared to leadership development and youth empowerment (1995 to present).
§ Volunteer Facilitator and Coordinator, Youth Mentors, Inc., Los Angeles, CA
Facilitates dialogue sessions for incarcerated youth at Eastlake Juvenile Hall (1998 to present).
§ Athlete Coordinator, Westside Special Olympics, Santa Monica, CA
A sports and competition program for children and adults with mental retardation (1990 to present).
§ Member, Student Attendance Review Board, Inglewood Unified School District, Inglewood, CA
Provides educational and resource assistance to students and families to meet CA student attendance requirements (2002 to present).
§ Training Specialist, Anti-Defamation League "A World of Difference" Institute,
Campus of Difference and A Workplace of Difference Institutes
Provides trainings to enhance inter-group relations in issues such as prejudice and discrimination based on race, religion, sexual
orientation, ethnicity, gender, age and ability (2002 to present).
§ Trainer/Facilitator, UCLA Bruin Leaders Project
A certified program for UCLA undergraduate and graduate students using the Social Change Model of Leadership theory developed by
UCLA's Higher Education research Institute (2002 to present).
§ Facilitator/Trainer, UCLA's Intergroup Relations Peer Training Program
A program designed to engage campus constituents to engage in dialogue on current issues dealing with diversity and intergroup
relations (2009 to present).
§ Mediator, Trainer, UCLA Conflict Mediation Program
