Scholarship Program
Since the inception of Mortar Board’s scholarship program over 20 years ago, more than $30,000 has been given to deserving students pursuing higher education.
The program started with a single award of $500 annually and has grown to nearly $2,000 a year - funds that can significantly impact a student’s opportunity to pursue higher education. A LAUSD high school senior, a community college transfer student, and an undergraduate at UCLA are eligible to apply for these scholarships - the only requirement is that they be working toward a degree.
Three (3) $500 scholarships and individual certificates will be awarded to one (1) student selected by the Mortar Board Scholarship Committee in each category – high school senior, community college transfer, and UCLA undergraduate.
These scholarships are awarded annually. Applications for the upcoming awards must be submitted by April 14th, 2013.
